Blow, Irene, Blow! Broadway.com's Top Five Songs for Weathering the Hurricane

New York City is gearing up for a visit from Hurricane Irene, but we all know that Broadway is no stranger to a little weather trouble. Below, Broadway.com gives a shout-out to some of our fave musical theater numbers about stormy weather.

“Storm’s A-Brewin” from The Great American Trailer Park Musical
New Yorkers and visitors are battening down the hatches, but we’re getting in the mood with this badass number from The Great American Trailer Park Musical. Bring it on!

“It’s Raining Men” from Priscilla Queen of the Desert
OK, so none of the weather reports are predicting Hurricane Irene will bring us a hunk-shower, but we’re crossing our fingers and taking a lesson from this little number by The Weather Girls, as performed by the cast of Broadway’s faboo Priscilla.

“Soon It’s Gonna Rain” from The Fantasticks
With this sweet little number from off-Broadway’s longest-running musical love story to warm your heart, who says a little rain is such a bad thing anyway?

“Come Rain or Come Shine” from St. Louis Woman
Leave it to the legendary Judy Garland to turn some weather woes into a love song for the ages ...
