Durbin endorses Duckworth, takes shot at Republicans' anti-tax pledge
U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin said Monday he remains optimistic a bipartisan congressional panel of lawmakers can come up with a new round of deficit reduction plans if Republicans realize their “oath is to the Constitution” and not to an anti-tax pledge they signed.
