In what’s being described as a "Victorian vibrator romantic comedy," Broadway-bound actor Hugh Dancy (Venus in Fur) co-stars with stage vets Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jonathan Pryce, Rupert Everett and London musical star Sheridan Smith in the new movie Hysteria. Though the Stephen Dyer's film has no relationship with Sarah Ruhl’s In the Next Room or the Vibrator Play, the plot sounds similar: a young doctor invents a device that cures women of “hysteria” by providing pleasure…well, you get the drift.
