Rockettes have made way for surreal spiders and mystical magicians at Radio City Music Hall, as Cirque du Soleil prepares to open its newest acrobatic spectacle Zarkana at the legendary theater. Cirque has transformed the New York landmark into a fantastical world into which Zark, a magician who has lost his love and his powers, has been plunged. Broadway.com got a sneak peek at this epic spectacle, including spider-web and forest-filled sets, high-flying trapeze work and eye-popping acrobatics from this world’s surreal and mesmerizing inhabitants. This world premiere production is set to run through September 4.
