LAByrinth to Present Daphne Rubin-Vega's Solo Show; Full Season Announced

LAByrinth Theater Company has announced its 2011-2012 season, which will include Frequently UnAnswered Questions, an original piece written and performed by Tony nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega. The season will also include works by David Bar Katz and Brett C. Leonard. The theater company has also found a new home this season at the Bank Street Theater.

The LAB season will kick off with Katz's The Atmosphere of Memory. The work follows playwright Jon Stone, who writes a piece about his childhood and casts his mother to play herself. Jon's estranged father however remembers their history differently, and Jon is forced to not only rewrite his play, but part of his past as well. No casting, creative team or dates have been announced.

Written and performed by Rubin-Vega, Frequently UnAnswered Questions will follow in the winter. Questions is a musical odyssey about the consequences of a mother's choice and the bond of a family separated by the gulf of the Caribbean as well as unspoken love, loss and longing.  Rubin-Vega will perform the piece with music.
