Broadway veterans Daniel Evans and Francesca Annis will star as Bobby and Joanne, respectively, in the upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim’s Company at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England. The production will begin performances on November 29, 2011 and open on December 5, directed by Jonathan Munby.
Evans and Annis will be joined by Samantha Spiro as Amy, Anna-Jane Casey as Jenny, David Birrell as David, Rosalie Craig as Marta, Steven Cree as Peter, Ian Gelder as Larry, Damian Humbley as Harry, Lucy Montgomery as April, Claire Price as Sarah, Kelly Price as Kathy, Alistair Robins as Paul and Samantha Seager as Susan.
Annis’ theatre credits includes Time and The Conways, Afterplay, Under the Blue Sky, The Glass Menagerie, Epitaph for George Dillon, Henry IV and The Vortex, Blood, Hedda Gabler and Hamlet on the West End and Broadway. Her television work includes Little House, Cranford, Jane Eyre, Jericho, Copenhagen, Deceit, Wives and Daughters and Reckless, while her film credits include Shifty, Revolver, The Libertine, Milk, The Debt Collector, Dune, Krull, Macbeth, The Eyes of Annie Jones, Saturday Night Out and Cleopatra.
