India Arie, Bootsy Collins, Al B. Sure, and more at the African Festival of the Arts

by Luca Cimarusti Presented by the Africa International House, the 22nd African Festival of the Arts expects to attract more than 300,000 people to Washington Park, 51st and Cottage Grove, over the long holiday weekend (Fri-Mon 9/2-9/5). The lineup on the Dee Parmer Woodtor main stage includes soul star India Arie, gospel duo Mary Mary, funk-bass legend Bootsy Collins, Nigerian singer Kefee, Prince and Beyonce drummer Cora Coleman-Dunham, trumpeter Gerald Wilson with jazz vocalist Joan Collaso, and a combined set from R&B singers Al B. Sure, Chico DeBarge, Jon�B, and Christopher Williams.?
