Off-Broadway?s A Perfect Future to Retire Early

The end is in sight for the world premiere of David Hay’s A Perfect Future, which will play its final performance at off-Broadway’s Cherry Lane Theatre on March 6. The open-ended engagement began previews on February 4 and officially opened on February 17, directed by Wilson Milam.

Like many good New York stories, A Perfect Future begins with a dinner party. Power couple John and Natalie are hosting, and the guest list includes Elliot, a friend from their college radical days, and Mark, a straight-laced young man from John's risk management firm. Over the course of the evening—and many bottles of wine—these four explosive personalities try and reconcile idealism with reality and turn their belief systems inside out.

A Perfect Future, which explores whether people can truly love each other and have opposing political views, stars Donna Bullock as Natalie, Scott Drummond as Mark, Daniel Oreskes as Elliot and Michael T. Weiss as John. For a video feature on the show, click here.
