Charmer from Down Under David Campbell Knocks ?Em Dead at Feinstein?s

Charismatic Aussie crooner David Campbell made a triumphant return to the New York cabaret scene recently, when he took to the stage of Feinstein's at Loews Regency for three shows. Campbell first brought his signature vocals stateside 13 years ago, and soon became the youngest performer ever to grace the stage of the inimitable (but now defunct) Rainbow and Stars Cabaret in Rockefeller Center. He went on to star in the Encores! run of Babes in Arms and the off-Broadway premiere of Stephen Sondheim’s Saturday Night before forging a successful stage career in his native Australia. He came back to the Big Apple this winter to promote his newest CD, On Broadway, which features favorites like “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’,” “Hello, Dolly,” “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and “Luck Be a Lady” and a new number, “Goodbye,” from the upcoming Catch Me If You Can. Broadway.com was there to capture Campbell as he bowled over his final Feinstein's crowd on December 2; click through for photos!
