The number of shows continues to contract during Broadway’s hibernation season, but the remaining hits showed plenty of strength in spite of the threat of weekend winter snow. The top three frontrunners (Spider Man, Turn Off the Dark, Wicked and The Lion King) each raked in more than $1.5 million, and departing hit In the Heights also joined the $1 million club in its final week of performances at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. In addition to the Tony-winning tuner, Broadway said farewell to A Free Man of Color, A Little Night Music and La Bete.
