The working class landscape of gritty family drama Blood From a Stone may be a bleak place, but the opening celebration of The New Group production was a different story. On January 6 the show’s starry cast, led by stage and screen star Ethan Hawke, was joined by fans and friends to celebrate this unflinchingly dark dramedy by first-time playwright Tommy Nohilly in anticipation of the show’s official opening on January 12. After the curtain fell at off-Broadway’s Acorn Theatre, everyone moved to the nearby venue 404 where a party was in full swing. Click through for photos of this festive evening!
