Jude Law, Ruth Wilson, Douglas Hodge and Eddie Redmayne are among the stars announced for the upcoming Donmar Warehouse season in London. AS previously announced, the season marks the final one for Artistic Director Michael Grandage, who will step down from his role at the company in December 2011.
The Donmar's offerings begin on August 4 with Law (Hamlet) and Wilson (A Streetcar Named Desire) starring in Eugene O'Neill's Anna Christie. Tony winner Rob Ashford will direct the production with set design from Paul Wills and sound design by Adam Cork. The play will run through October 8 with opening night set for August 9. The Pulitzer Prize-winning work follows a young woman's reunion with the father who exiled her 15 years earlier.
Tony winner Douglas Hodge (La Cage aux Folles) will lead the cast of John Osborne's Inadmissible Evidence. Performances begin October 13 with opening night on October 18. The run will conclude on November 26. Donmar Associate Director Jamie Lloyd will direct the play, which will feature scenic design by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by James Farncombe and sound design by Ben and Max Ringham.
