Fresh off of scoring a Golden Globe win for his portrayal of Glee's proud gay teenager Kurt, Chris Colfer and his onsceen pal Darren Criss are gracing the cover of the January 28 edition of Entertainment Weekly... and wearing their Dalton Academy Warblers uniforms, too!
The feature story examines the rise in gay teenage TV characters on series like Glee, Skins, 90210 and Pretty Little Liars, as well as looking back at past homosexual characters on shows such as My So-Called Life and Dawson's Creek.
"That was by far the gayest thing that has ever been on TV, period," Colfer said of dueting with Criss on "Baby, It's Cold Outside" on Glee's recent holiday episode. "I was proud of that. I think it pushed the envelope a bit," added series creator Ryan Murphy.
Glee will return with new episodes on February 6.
