Norbert Leo Butz, Brian d'Arcy James, Ana Gasteyer, Laura Osnes, Nicole Parker and Steven Pasquale are among the stars slated to perform at Miscast 2011, MCC’s annual gala featuring actors performing songs from roles in which they would never be cast. David Duchovny, Téa Leoni, Hugh Dancy and Claire Danes are the evening’s honorary chairs and Bravo TV personality Andy Cohen will host the event, which takes the stage at the Hammerstein Ballroom on March 14.
To celebrate MCC’s 25th anniversary, the evening’s honorees will include many of the company’s illustrious alumni, including T.R. Knight, Marisa Tomei, Judith Light, Joe Mantello, Melissa Leo and Liev Schreiber. Funds from Miscast benefit MCC Theater, as well as support its Youth Company and in-school partnerships that serve New York City public high school students, as well as literary development work with emerging playwrights.
MCC's first production of 2011, Sharr White’s The Other Place, directed by Joe Mantello and starring Laurie Metcalf, begins performances on March 10 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.
