Step Into the Rehearsal Room with the Encores! Cast of Lost in the Stars

The rarely seen 1949 musical Lost in the Stars is getting a welcome staging at New York City Center’s Encores! with a cast led by Tony winner Chuck Cooper, Tony nominee Daniel Breaker and Broadway-bound Sister Act star Patina Miller. Set in South Africa, this Kurt Weill/Maxwell Anderson collaboration centers on the heartbreak experienced by families of both races during the height of Apartheid. On January 26, the Lost in the Stars cast came in out of the snow to perform two numbers in rehearsal, including the classic title song.
