Broadway Grosses: Next to Normal Sets House Record in Final Week

In an otherwise weak wintry week at Broadway’s box offices, Next to Normal ended its run on a high note: The Pulitzer Prize-winning musical set a record at the Booth Theatre, grossing $552,653 in its final week of performances and jumping to the frontrunners' list for capacity. Meanwhile, Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark continued its million-dollar ways in spite of playing just six performances. The talked-about tuner made both frontrunners' lists in a week in which only three of 21 shows made the $1 million club.
