Ray Meagher will join the West End cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert beginning October 26 at the Palace Theatre. He joins the cast after having played Bob in Priscilla's Syndey production in 2007.
Meagher is best known for his work on the long-running Australian TV series Home and Away. His film credits include Breaker Morant, The Chamberlain Report and Mail Order Bride.
The London production of Priscilla currently stars Don Gallagher as Bernadette, Ben Richards as Tick and Oliver Thornton as Adam. Based on the popular Australian film of the same name, Priscilla follows three drag queens on a cross country road trip. The show, written by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott, had its world premiere in Australia in 2006 and is headed for Broadway in February 2011.
