It may have been a Monday night, but Broadway certainly wasn’t dark on May 23 as the brightest stars of the New York stage made their way to the Hammerstein Ballroom for the 2011 Drama Desk Awards. Broadway favorite Harvey Fierstein hosted the swanky sit-down dinner event, and adding to the glittering evening were presenters like Katie Holmes, Jonathan Groff and Montego Glover, who were on hand to help distribute the awards honoring Broadway, off-Broadway and off-off-Broadway productions.
