Tony Nominee Chat: Producer Whoopi Goldberg on How Sister Act 'Still Makes Me Laugh'

It’s a time-honored Broadway tradition: the day after the Tony nominations are announced, the lucky nominees get gussied up to meet the press. On that day, Broadway.com Editor-in-Chief Paul Wontorek talked to producer Whoopi Goldberg, whose Sister Act is up for Best Musical. Whoopi, who calls herself "a dour, crabby thing," explained that she's not the easiest person to make laugh more than once. But guess what? Sister Act still gets her giggling. Click on to see Whoopi sing the praises of her soulful show, stick her tongue out at The New York Times and send a message to government powers-that-be about the value of the arts.
