After a face-off with friendly rival Beverly McClellan, Broadway vet Frenchie Davis was voted off NBC’s The Voice on June 22. Celebrity judge Christina Aguilera had given both singers 50 points and pronounced them “so unique,” but when America’s votes were factored in, Davis was eliminated. Aguilera planted a kiss on Davis’ cheek and yelled “I love you Frenchie” as the singer left the stage.
McClellan will join Javier Colon (from Adam Levine’s team), Dia Frampton (from Team Blake Shelton) and Vicci Martinez (Team Cee Lo Green) in the finals on June 28, with the first Voice champ to be crowned on June 29.
