In Follies, Danny Burstein is stuck in a love triangle. His character, Buddy Plummer—once a stage door Johnny, now a salesman—is hopelessly in love with his wife, Sally (played by Bernadette Peters), who has in turn been in love with someone else their entire marriage. Luckily, ubertalented character actor Burstein doesn’t have the same problem. The low-key Broadway vet, who has appeared in everything from The Seagull and Saint Joan to Company, South Pacific, The Drowsy Chaperone and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, has been happily married to fellow Broadway favorite Rebecca Luker since 2000.
