Watch Jeremy Jordan and Dolly Parton Sing Out in Trailer for Joyful Noise

Jeremy Jordan is having quite the fall as he currently stars in the Disney musical Newsies at the Paper Mill Playhouse before bringing Bonnie & Clyde to Broadway in December. Looks like Jordan's profile is going to continue to rise in January with the release of the new movie musical Joyful Noise. Starring Tony nominee Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah (who scored an Oscar nod for the film adaptation of Chicago) as rival choir teachers, the film follows the duo as they team up for a Los Angeles competition. When Parton recruits her vocally gifted grandson (Jordan) to the team, he sparks a heated romance with Queen Latifah's daughter. Jordan recently revealed to Broadway.com he landed the role after going on for the first time as Constantine Maroulis' swing in Rock of Ages...and Joyful Noise director/writer Todd Graff just happened to be in the house! Take a look at the trailer below, in which Jordan sings a Paul McCartney classic, Queen Latifah belts out some Stevie Wonder and Dolly tackles Chris Brown! Joyful Noise hits theaters January 13, 2012.
