Megan Hilty on Being a 'Mean' Girl to Lea Michele in Oz & Reading the Sleepless in Seattle Musical

Wicked veteran Megan Hilty is headed back to the Emerald City in the upcoming animated film Dorothy of Oz. Broadway.com caught up with the actress, who last appeared on the Great White Way in 9 to 5, to talk about the buzzed about project. "I've done about half [the vocals] and Bryan Adams is still writing music for me. Can you believe Bryan Adams is writing songs for this!" Hilty gushed. As the China Doll Princess, a character created specifically for the film, Hilty will have to torment a fellow Broadway girl, Glee star Lea Michele. "I start out very mean to Lea Michele, but then I come around towards the end," she said of the Princess.  Any objection to being less than polite to the star of a smash TV series? "No, she's fantastic," Hilty laughed. "She's an old friend from [New York]."

Michele isn't the only other big name in the cast that shines as bright as those famous ruby slippers. "It’s Patrick Stewart, Kelsey Grammer, Lea Michele, Martin Short, all these huge names…and then there’s me," Hilty joked.
