Chicago police this afternoon are hoping the public can help them find a 14-year-old girl who disappeared Tuesday from the Far South Side's Pullman neighborhood.

LewisMissing140cap.jpgMiyaan Lewis is diabetic and in need of her medication. She could appear to be disoriented, incoherent, shaking, sweating or acting under the influence of alcohol.

Police said Lewis' right hand is disfigured and her thumb is paralyzed. Additionally, she has a dog bite on the left side of her face.

Lewis, also known as "Mi Mi," was last seen Tuesday near East 113th Street and South Saint Lawrence Avenue, wearing a "red/black" Dereon jacket, green, white and pink pajamas, navy blue Cadillac gym shoes and carrying a black, pink and green book bag, police said.

She is described as African-American with a medium brown complexion, 4-feet-10, 190 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with information about Lewis's whereabouts should call 911 or the Calumet Area special victims unit, 312-747-8274.
