Glee Star Chris Colfer and Producer Scott Rudin Tapped for 'Time 100'

Following in the footsteps of 2010 honoree Lea Michele, Glee star Chris Colfer has been named to this year’s "Time 100," a list of what the magazine calls “the most influential people in the world.” Theater and movie producer Scott Rudin, currently represented on Broadway by The Book of Mormon, The Motherf**ker with the Hat, The House of Blue Leaves and Jerusalem, also made the list.

The criteria for the Time 100—which includes such diverse names as President Obama, Prince William & Kate Middleton, Oprah Winfrey and General David Petraeus—is a collection of people whose “ideas spark dialogue and dissent and sometimes even revolution.” Writing about Colfer for the magazine, actress Dianna Agron said that the 20-year-old actor “lives by extreme truth, speaking out against the epidemic of bullying that he, too, faced in high school. The honesty that he infuses into his Glee character, Kurt, leaves you reeling.”

Playwright and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin praised Rudin’s passion and smarts as a producer. “In addition to his business acumen and savvy, his muscle and his good taste, Scott is the best script editor I've ever known,” said Sorkin, who won an Oscar for his screenplay of ...
