Tony Administrators Make Final Eligibility Decisions for 2010-2011 Season

The Tony Awards Administration Committee met on April 29 for the fourth and final time this season to decide the eligibility of 19 Broadway productions for the 2011 American Theatre Wing’s Tony Awards. The 19 productions discussed include Elling; Priscilla Queen of the Desert; Ghetto Klown; The Book of Mormon; How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying; Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo; Anything Goes; Catch Me If You Can; The Motherf**ker with the Hat; War Horse; Wonderland; High; Sister Act; Jerusalem; Born Yesterday; The House of Blue Leaves; Baby It’s You; The Normal Heart and The People in the Picture.

Will Swenson and Tony Sheldon will both be considered eligible in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for their performances in Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

John Leguizamo will be considered eligible in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play for his performance in Ghetto Klown.

Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells will both be considered eligible in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for their performances in The Book ...
