Darren Criss has shown his love of Disney musicals in a series of video clips, and now the Broadway-bound Glee star got to salute composer Alan Menken in person in a surprise appearance at the Billboard/Hollywood Reporter Film & TV Music Conference. During an event on October 24 in which Menken was interviewed as winner of the 2011 Maestro Award, Criss performed personalized version of “Part of Your World,” one of his favorite tunes from The Little Mermaid. Menken got a double treat when Tony winner Lea Salonga joined Criss for a duet of “A Whole New World” from Aladdin.
