Cops: North Side resident receives suspicious package

A North Side resident in the Lakeview community received a suspicious package tonight, prompting a call to police.

About 6:40 p.m., a resident in a building in the 3500 block of North Lake Shore Drive got a package that looked suspicious, police said. The resident called police and their Bomb and Arson section was sent to the scene.

Traffic was blocked off in that area as of 9:15 p.m., he said.

No injuries were reported and no one was in custody.
