A 19-year-old woman who was last seen leaving her South Side home earlier this week is missing and does not have the medication she takes for depression, police said tonight.
Lakariah Thompson left her home Tuesday at noon to avoid a doctors appointment for her depression and schizophrenia, according to a missing persons alert.
Thompson, who frequents the area of 79th Street and Eberhart Avenue, has recently been experiencing lapses in her short-term memory, police said.
She is described in the alert as black, 5-feet-9, 260 pounds with black hair. She was last seen wearing a green wool hat, green puffy style coat, blue jeans and black gym shoes.
Anyone who knows of Thompson's whereabouts should call the Calumet Area Special Victims Unit at 312-747-8274.
