Evanston wants public to furnish support for store

City officials want the public to join their calls to stop the planned closure of the A.J Wright store in Evanston Plaza.

Officials plan a news conference at 3 p.m. Thursday outside the store at 1916 Dempster St. to call on TJX Companies Inc. to remain in Evanston by rebranding its A.J. Wright store.
