La Bete Star Mark Rylance Hopes to Dance into 2011

As the curtain goes down on 2010, Broadway.com is looking ahead to the new year. We’ve asked the brightest stars on Broadway to reflect on their personal highlights from the past year and to reveal their hopes for 2011. Check out what they had to say, and have a Happy New Year!

MARK RYLANCE (Valere in La Bete)

Highlight of 2010: “Going to the Edison Hotel on 46th Street and hearing Vince Giordano and His Night Hawks in the Basement on Monday and Tuesday evenings. He has a fantastic big band that plays '20s, '30s and '40s dance music. You can make a request for any song and they'll play it. If you can sing well and know the lyrics, you can get up and sing with them.”

Resolution for 2011: “To learn how to dance so I can join the wonderful dancers who foxtrot, tango and do all the wonderful dances you can do to that type of music.”

Keep checking for more resolutions from your favorite stars.
